Pen Ran

Pen Ran was one of the top iconic female singers of Cambodian in the 60s and 70s. Her music is a delightful mix of playful and soulful. She was born in Battambang in 1944 and disappeared by 1979. With her powerful and captivating voice, she is considered the second leading singer of Cambodia, though her style is versatile and unique. Her career started in 1963 and she began recording duets with Sinn Sisamouth and Ron Sereysothea in 1966, which increased her popularity. Together, she made Cambodian music recognized worldwide. Today, her original recording on Single (45RPM) and 33 1/3 LP is available on Apple Music, Youtube Music, and Spotify, just to name a few.
